GenUnity makes Finalist Team in Harvard President’s Innovation Challenge
The people closest to local issues are often excluded from the decision-making process, perpetuating and exacerbating inequities. By supporting an equitable pipeline of aspiring leaders, GenUnity seeks to foster solidarity across differences and affect change. Through issue-focused, three-month, 2-3 hour/week programs, our members learn from and build relationships with local community partners. Along the way, members develop civic leadership skills such as empathy, systems thinking, and power mapping. They also join a diverse, lifelong member community that supports them in advancing more inclusive, equitable outcomes.
